The Benefits of Mat Pilates
Mat Pilates is just exercise on the floor on a mat using your own body weight, it’s that simple. We just have a strong emphasis on good movement patterns and using your body in its optimum way. Each class we try to mobilise your whole body, every joint and practice good functional movements needed for healthy living.
You get to spend an hour focused on just your body, no other distractions. Learn how to use it better and let go of some stress in the process.
You’ll gradually improve your posture. If you are attentive and consistent you may notice you hold yourself better even outside of class.
At Northants Pilates we target those joints and muscles that get forgotten in modern life, like the core or deep spine muscles. When they are working properly your body is more stability, ready for everyday life or other more challenging activities.
We plan many of our mat classes around dealing with common aches and pains, loosening off muscles that are often tight and breaking bad movement and posture habits.

Non-member drop-in class £15 per class
Single weekly membership £13.50 per class (£43.90 per month)
Multi weekly membership £12.20 per class (£79.30 per month)

Join our mat classes
At Northants Pilates we want to make sure you get the most out of your body and the most value from our classes. If you’ve not done Pilates before the terminology can be a little confusing. Before you join our classes you will need an introduction so you get to know what we do, and we can find your best class.
You’ll need an introduction class first, you can see the options for these below.
Once you’ve tried a class and we’re sure we can help you, we will find you a regular time. Check all our times here.
Most of our face to face classes require a monthly membership. This will be set up later when you are ready to join regular classes.
